Details/Summary:
On July 28, 2023, the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) informed the Fort Wayne Police Department of an alleged child molest. Detective Kenneth Johnson, an investigator with the FWPD Crimes Against Persons Section (CAPS), was assigned as the case agent. The child participated in a Forensic Interview in which she disclosed being the victim of child sexual abuse. She identified Michael Souder as the alleged defendant. An arrest warrant was issued for the defendant once the investigation was completed. He was arrested this morning and will be confined at the Allen County Jail pending his initial hearing.
Detective Johnson was assisted by Dr. Bill Lewis Center For Children, Indiana DCS, the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center (FWSATC), FWPD Victim’s Assistance, and the Allen County Sheriff’s Department-Warrants Division.
