The Allen County Coroner has identified David Lee Norris as the 9th Allen County Homicide in 2024.
News release from the Allen County Coroner:
On March 3, 2024, at about 21:45 hours the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of a fatal shooting investigation in the 5000 block of Roberta Drive, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An autopsy has been completed and notification has been made to the next of kin of David Lee Norris, male, Black, 64 years of age, from Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Cause of Death is Gunshot Wound of Chest, and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
David Lee Norris is the 9th Homicide for Allen County in 2024.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
