On February 28, 2024, at 0530 hours, officers with the FWPD were dispatched to the intersection of North Anthony and East Coliseum Boulevards regarding a man down on the side of the roadway.

Details/Summary:
On Wednesday February 28th 2024 at approximately 0530 hrs officers with the Fort Wayne Police Dept were dispatched to the area of N Anthony & Coliseum Blvd regarding a man down on the side of the roadway. A Passing motorist stated a male was unconscious in the grassy area near this intersection. Once on scene an adult male was found to have been ejected from a single vehicle crash just east of Anthony Blvd. The male was transported to a local area hospital in life threatening condition. It is not yet known if speed or alcohol were a factor. This incident remains an ongoing investigation with the Fort Wayne Police Dept Fatal Crash team and the Allen County Prosecutor’s office. Coliseum Blvd east bound from Anthony will have intermittent lane closures until the investigation is complete.
