On February 12, 2024, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to the 3400 block of Montagne Drive on the report of a fire in the electrical connections at the rear of the house.
Time of Alarm: 21:27 hours
On Scene: 21:30 hours
Under Control: 21:45 hours
Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy active fire on the exterior rear of the house which extended into the attic space. Two occupants and a dog self-evacuated prior to their arrival. There was no one else reported in the home – FWFD conducted a search to confirm.
The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes without injury to Firefighters or civilians. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
