The Allen County Coroner has identified as Jayden Lamont Morris as the 5th Allen County Homicide in 2024.
News release from the Allen County Coroner:
On Saturday, February 3, 2024, the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of a shooting in the 1200 block of Rivermet Avenue, in Fort Wayne. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim was identified as Jayden Lamont Morris, 19 years of age, male, Black of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Notification has been made to the legal next of kin and an autopsy has been completed. The Cause of Death is Multiple Gunshot Wounds and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Jayden Lamont Morris is the 6th homicide for Allen County in Fort Wayne.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
