On January 30, 2024, at 0431 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department received a report of a single car which had left the roadway and crashed into a pole and a tree in the 3800 block of Parnell Ave next to the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

Details/Summary:
On January 30, 2024, at 4:31am, the Fort Wayne Police Department received a report of a single car which left the roadway crashing into a pole and a tree in the 3800 block of Parnell Ave next to the Memorial Coliseum. Officers provided aid to the injured female driver of the vehicle until medics arrived. The driver was transported to a local hospital where her injuries were determined to be life-threatening. It does not appear that alcohol or speed are factors in this crash. The crash remains under investigation by the FWPD FACT team.
Northbound Parnell Ave between Spy Run Ave Ext. and Coliseum Blvd remains restricted to one lane due to the crash investigation. The traffic restriction will be in place for a few hours.
