Fort Wayne Police Officers responded to the 2900 block of Shawnee Drive, on January 27, 2024, at 1951 hours, in reference to a shooting involving a young juvenile victim.

Details/Summary:
Fort Wayne Police Officers responded to the 2900 block of Shawnee Dr at approximately 1951 hours reference a shooting involving a young juvenile victim. Officers located a shooting victim inside a home. Officers provided aid to the shooting victim along with medics and fire department personnel. The victim was in critical condition at the scene and transported to a local hospital. The victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The shooting incident remains under investigation by the FWPD Homicide Unit, Allen County Coroner’s Office, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Currently there is no threat to public safety related to this shooting
