
On January 5, 2024, at 1330 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a small residential house fire in the 7200 block of Beaty Avenue.
Time of Alarm: 1330 hours
On Scene: 1333 hours
Under Control: 1401 hours
Fire crews arrived on scene and found fire and smoke in a bedroom on the Delta side. Crews pulled hose lines for a fire attack and searched the home for victims.
A victim was found in home and rescued by fire crews. The victim sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Fire crews extinguished fire in about 30 minutes.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department was assisted by Indiana Michigan Power, City of Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code Enforcement, the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, and NIPSCO.
Fort Wayne Fire Investigators have arrived on the scene to determine cause and origin which is under investigation.
