On December 23, 2023, at 0020 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a mobile home fire in the 7500 block of Bluffton Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 0020 hours
On Scene: 0025 hours
Under Control: 0049 hours
First units arrived on the scene and found a mobile home with heavy fire in the front half of the home. The front roof had partially collapse. Occupant that resided in the home were unaccounted for. Firefighters pulled hose lines and began to extinguish the fire. At the same time other crews made entry into the back half of the trailer to conduct a search of the structure. An occupant was found deceased inside the trailer.
Fire investigators are on the scene conducting their investigation. Fire crews have also remained on the scene to extinguish hot spots and to complete overhaul of the scene.
