Details/Summary:
On Dec 6, 2023, at 8:25pm, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to reports of a male shot in the hallway of an apartment building in the 1800 block of Fox Point Trail. Officers arrived and found an adult male as reported, suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s). Officers provided medical aid until relieved by paramedics, who pronounced the male deceased.
The only information at this point is that several neighbors heard gunshots and called police. Detectives went door to door, canvassing for any witnesses and looking for any video surveillance. Crime Scene Technicians processed the scene, looking for any evidence. There are currently no suspects.

The exact cause and manner of death, as well as the identity of the decedent, will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
