On November 27, 2023, at 0620 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 400 block of Elizabeth Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 0620 hours
On Scene: 0623 hours
Under Control: 0643 hours
Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the rear second-floor of the structure. Crews made entry and confirmed all occupants had evacuated. The fire was found and extinguished in an attic area and roof of the house. Crews continued to work on the structure to make sure all areas were extinguished.
Crews also searched for two cats that were in the home. Both cats were found but one had perished in the smoke.
