On August 1, 2023, at 1745, FWPD officers responded to Lafayette Park near the intersection of Glencoe Avenue and Lafayette Esplanade in reference to a armed-party call, where a suspect had fired a round at a group of people.

On Tuesday August 1st, 2023 at roughly 5:45pm FWPD officers responded to Lafayette Park near the intersection of Glencoe Ave. and Lafayette Esplsande in reference to a party armed call, where a suspect fired a round at a group of people. Witnesses heard one shot being fired. A juvenile victim was located at the scene suffering from one apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital in non-life threatening condition by TRAA. The suspect, a juvenile, fled prior to police arrival. There were no other injuries reported for this incident.
