FWFD: House Fire, 7700 block Newlin Drive

On August 5, 2023, at 1332 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 7700 block of Newlin Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1332 hours
On Scene: 1336 hours
Under Control: 1337 hours

FWFD Engine 12 arrived on the scene to find smoke coming from a single-story residential structure. One occupant was outside on arrival. Firefighters entered the structure with a hose line and encountered moderate smoke. A fire was found in one of the bedrooms and quickly extinguished. A quick search of residence found no one else in the structure.

A couple of pet rabbits were taken out into a safe environment. There were no injuries.

Fire Damage: Moderate
Water Damage: Minor
Smoke Damage: Moderate
