On July 4, 2023, at 0046 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 5000 block of Decatur Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 0051 hours
Under Control: 0102 hours
The fire was reported by a passing motorist who observed smoke coming from the structure. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the roof eaves as well as from the boarded up windows. A working fire was found and quickly extinguished. The structure appeared to be used mostly for storage. The owners were not present at the time of the fire. The fire left moderate to heavy smoke and fire damage.
The investigation is still ongoing. There were no injuries.
