On June 16, 2023, at 2026 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Shordon and Long Roads in regard to a single vehicle crash.

Details/Summary:
On Friday June 16th 2023 at approximately 2026 Hrs Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the area of Shordon and Long regarding a single vehicle crash. Witnesses stated a vehicle straveling south bound struck a power pole and rolled several times. On scene officers observed a single vehicle upside down and severely damage. The male adult driver, and sole occupant sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on scene. Speed was believed to be a factor.
This incident remains under investigation with the Fatal Accident Crash Team and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
