SCAM ALERT!
Please be advised of another scam circulating involving the alleged use of traffic cameras. If you receive an email requesting payment from an alleged traffic camera violation, DO NOT click the attached link! The City of Fort Wayne does not use traffic cameras for enforcement and this is another SCAM! The below message is an example of what people are receiving:
“Dear Citizen,
Attached is a citation for a traffic violation involving your vehicle, recorded by traffic camera in Fort Wayne. Please respond according to the instructions in the attached document.
Details of your violation are listed below:
Code 16, Section 7 Failure to Yield in a Construction Zone $120.00
Court costs and processing fees $25.79
Total Citation Amount $145.79You have the right to appeal this citation. If you wish to appeal, you may do so by following the link below to the Department of Transportation website.
