
On May 24, 2023, at 1925 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a fire in the 2900 block of Oakwood Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 1925 hours
On Scene: 1929 hours
Under Control: 1943 hours
Firefighters arrived to find smoke issuing from the attic area of the home. The fire was found in the attic and extinguished. There was moderate smoke, fire and water damage. The fire was under control in 14 minutes.
Six people self-evacuated.
The cause of the fire was found to be electrical in nature.
