Details/Summary:
The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to an unknown problem Wednesday, April 26th, 2023 at roughly 9:22 pm in the 6500 block of Londonberry Ln. Officers encountered a hostage situation and after unsuccessful attempts to get the suspect to end the incident voluntarily; the Emergency Services Team, Crisis Response Team, and the Air Support Unit were paged to assist with the incident. After everal hours of negotiations, the suspect surrendered without incident and was arrested. Neither the female victim or the suspect were injured.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
