On March 11, 2023, at 1838 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to the report of a garage fire in the 7500 block of Kenwood Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 1838 hours
On Scene: 1841 hours
Under Control: 1849 hours
The first firefighters arrived and there was smoke and fire showing from the garage are of the duplex house. Crews immediately pulled handlines to extinguish the fire and search the house for occupants and found none. The fire was brought under control very quickly and salvage efforts were started.
The cause of the fir was found to be an accidental cooking fire from a grill.
