
On February 23, 2023, at 1802 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a mobile home fire in the 400 block of Edgewood Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 1802 hours
On Scene: 1805 hours
Under Control: 1817 hours
FWFD Engine 10 arrived and found a well-involved single-wide mobile home fire with possible exposure to two other trailers on either side. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control without any damage to the other adjacent structures. Both occupants of the mobile home had escaped prior to crews arrival. A thorough search of the structure was also conducted with nothing else found.
Investigation revealed improperly discarded smoking material had caused some combustibles to catch fire.
The American Red Cross is taking care of the occupants.
