On February 19, 2023, at 1132 hours, the FWPD responded to the Eagle’s Lodge at 4940 Bluffton Road in reference to a victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

Victim: Adult Female
On February 19th, 2023 at approximately 11:32pm Fort Wayne Police Officers were called to 4940 Bluffton Rd. Eagle’s Lodge in reference to victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Upon arrival officers observed one female adult victim in the passenger side of a vehicle parked in the parking lot. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and later pronounced deceased. The victim and the male driver were at the Eagle’s Lodge prior to the shooting and had left to go to an unknown location and as they were driving were engaged by gunfire which struck the female adult victim. The male driver drove back to 4940 Bluffton Rd. Eagle’s Lodge where the Fort Wayne Police were called to.
The identity of the victim has not been released as the incident is currently under investigation. There is currently no suspect information at this time. Detectives on scene are canvassing the area for witnesses and any video footage of the crime. If anyone has any information in reference to this crime they are encouraged to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department of Crime Stoppers.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
