Details/Summary:
The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred today, just after 11 am on the 9000 block of Dartford Ct. Responding officers located a deceased adult female and an adult male in life-threatening condition inside the residence. Both subjects were suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s). The adult male was transported to a local hospital in life-threatening condition were he currently remains. A weapon was located inside the residence. There were no other occupants in the home.
The Coroner’s office will release the cause and manner of death, pending an autopsy and next of kin notification. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Coroner’s Office.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
