On January 22, 2023, at 0430 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 2400 block of Cambridge Boulevard.

Details/Summary:
On Sunday, January 22nd 2023 at around 0430 am Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 2400 Block of Cambridge. A woman stated her husband fired 2 shots at her vehicle while she was inside of it. Dispatch also received further calls from area residents who heard gunfire.
When Officers arrived, the male was uncooperative and refused to exit the home. Fort Wayne Police Dept Emergency Services Team and Crisis Response Team were paged to respond. CRT Officers were able to make contact with the individual over the phone, who still refused to cooperate. The male did eventually exit the residence around 0720 am where he was apprehended by officers. He was found to be in possession of a firearm at that time.
Neither the female victim nor the male suspect were injured. This incident remains under investigation with the Fort Wayne Police Dept and the Allen County Prosecutor’s office.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
