On December 24, 2022, at 0242 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a garage fire in the 2800 block of Abbott Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 0242 hours
On Scene: 0247 hours
Under Control: 0339 hours
When the first unit arrived on scene the fire had already advanced throughout the structure and extended to the next detached garage. Due to high winds and extreme cold temperatures multiple units were used to combat the fire and supply enough water to extinguish the fire. Frozen fire hydrants in the area caused further problems.
