On December 6, 2022, at 1023 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a garage fire in the 1800 block of Edsall Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1023 hours
On Scene: 1025 hours
Under Control: 1102 hours
Upon arrival FWFD Engine 9 found a fully involved garage attached to the home by a breezeway with fire extending into the home. Three different engine crews attacked the fire while the two truck crews searched the structure and rendered safe the utilities. A vehicle in the garage continued to burn after the roof collapsed and made fighting the fire difficult. A wrecker was called to pull the burning car out of the garage where it was finally extinguished.
The fire is still under investigation by the FWFD Investigators.
