FWPD: Shooting Investigation Arrest, 2300 block Brooklyn Avenue

The Fort Wayne Police Department has arrested Christopher Vibbert in connection with the shooting investigation in the 2300 block of Brooklyn Avenue.

Suspect Arrested: Christopher Vibbert, 30 years-old

Preliminary Charges:

  1. Domestic Battery w/ Deadly Weapon
  2. Aggravated Battery

Details/Summary:

Fort Wayne Officers responded to a reported shooting investigation in the 2300 block of Brooklyn Avenue. A victim was located and determined to be suffering from gunshot wound(s). He was transported to the hospital and classified in Life Threatening condition. The Homicide Unit conducted the investigation and arrested Christopher Vibbert for Domestic Battery w/ Deadly Weapon and Aggravated Battery. He is currently confined at the Allen County Jail.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
