
On November 28, 2022, at 2206 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department apprehended Sheldon Ray Dobson, Jr., in connection with a shooting at Spatz and Senate Avenues the day before.

Details/Summary:
On November 27th, 2022 at approximately 2206 hours, officers with the FWPD responded to the intersection of Spatz Ave. and Senate Ave. regarding a shooting. Officers arrived and located a victim laying in the middle of the road with an apparent gunshot wound. Officers conducting their investigation were able to identify a possible suspect and location in the 4400 block of Smith St.. FWPD Homicide detectives later placed Sheldon Ray Dobson Jr. into custody for the charge of Aggravated Battery. Also assisting with this investigation was the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and FWPD Crime Scene Unit.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
