On November 27, 2022, at 1824 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department was dispatched to reports of a shooting in the 2800 block of Monroe Street.
The FWPD issued a clarification on November 29, 2022, at 1533 hours, via email:
The shooting that occurred Monday, Nov. 28th, at 6:24pm happened at 2900 Reed St. and officers located the victim at 2800 Monroe St. The victim was transported by vehicle from the shooting scene to the other location where officers found him.

On Monday November 28th 2022 at approximately 1824 hrs Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Dept were dispatched to reports of a shooting 2800 Block of Monroe St. Officers arrived to find an adult male victim suffering multiple apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported by TRAA to a local area hospital in life threatening condition. At least one witnesses have been identified and is cooperating with the investigation.
This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
