On November 4, 2022, at 0641 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 3600 block of Holton Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Under Control: 0701 hours
Upon arrival, firefighters found a single-story home with smoke coming from the front door. Occupants who were outside stated that one person was still in the home. Firefighters immediately entered the home and searched for the missing person. Fire apparatus from multiple stations arrived on the scene to assist in fire extinguishment and victim removal. One person was located towards the rear of the home and transported to a local hospital. Six pets were also removed from the home.
Fire investigators are currently attempting to determine the cause of the fire.
The condition of the rescued occupant is unknown at this time.
