FWPD Update: Homicide Investigation Arrest, 5400 block Shamus Drive

On September 8, 2022, at 1340 hours, Quantae Jackson was arrested in Indianapolis, Indiana, in a coordinated effort between the FWPD and the Indiana State Police.

Suspect Arrested: Quantae Jackson, 28 years-old

Preliminary Charges:

  1. Murder – Felony Level 1
  2. Attempted Murder – Felony Level 1

Details/Summary:

On 09/08/2022 at approximately 1340 hours, Quantae Jackson was arrested in Indianapolis in a coordinated effort between the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Indiana State Police. He was tranported back to Fort Wayne and charged with Murder and Attempted Murder related to the homicide of Calvin Keys on 07/04/2022 at 4714 S. Calhoun Street. The Homicide Unit was assisted by the Vice and Narcotics Division, the Gang and Violent Crimes Unit, the Aerial Support Unit, the Indiana State Police, and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorneys Office.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
