On August 2, 2022, at 2230 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the area of 1000 North Coliseum Boulevard in reference a reported unconscious person.

Details/Summary:
On Tuesday August 2, 2022 shortly after 1030 PM the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the area of 1000 North Coliseum in reference a reported unconscious person.
Responding Officers were advised that an adult male was on a moped and had went over a small retaining wall and was now unresponsive on the roadway just south of the parking lot.
Officers arriving on scene located an adult male that was unresponsive on the ground. The victim was transported to a local hospital with Life Threatening Injuries.
The fatal Accident Team along with the Air Support unit were called to the scene to investigate this crash.
Upon their arrival Accident team members investigated the crash and spoke with any witnesses as the Air Support Unit utilized the drone to map the scene from overhead to assist in the investigation of this accident.
There were no roads that were closed to the public since the scene was contained to the parking lot area.
This incident is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
