On July 30, 2022, at 0155 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a fire at the Suburban Inn at 3320 West Coliseum Boulevard, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 0159 hours
Under Control: 0215 hours
The first firefighters on the scene reported smoke in the hall and began searching for the source. The crew of Engine 6 quickly found a fire in one of the first floor rooms and began extinguishing the blaze. Additional arriving units began to evacuate the immediate area of the fire and eventually removed all occupants with no injuries reported. The fire was extinguished in approximately 10 minutes without incident. The smoke throughout the west end of the building took several minutes to vent and a secondary search of the area was completed with no one found.
Fire investigators are working to determine if the structure can be occupied and assisting in finding lodging for anyone displaced.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
