On July 3, 2022, at 0852 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 500 block of East Washington Boulevard regarding a male laying in the road.

Details/Summary:
On July 3rd, 2022 at approximately 0852 hours, FWPD responded to the area of 505 E. Washington Blvd. with an attempt to make contact with a male laying in the roadway. It was later determined the male was suffering from a stab wound and was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. FWPD Homicide Unit arrested Michael Martin (DOB 02/03/1964) on July 4th, 2022 for a charge of Attempted Murder with the assistance of FWPD Gang Unit.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
