On June 12, 2022, at 0045 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 8300 block of Bridgeway Lane in reference to an unknown problem.

Details/Summary:
On June 12, 2022 shortly after 12:45 am the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 8300 Block of Bridgeway Lane in reference to a problem unknown.
Officers were advised that a male subject was calling in and was having a difficult time breathing and was advising 911 operators that he was bleeding. Prior to officers arrival they were advised that the victim had possibly been stabbed.
Upon officers arrival they located an adult male suffering from an apparent stab wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with Non-Life Threatening Injuries and upon his arrival at the hospital was shortly downgraded to having Life Threatening Injuries from the Emergency Room Physicians.
Officers on scene were given a description of a possible suspect and a short time later a subject matching this description was located a short distance away from the original location. The Subject was transported to the Police Headquarters to be interviewed by Detectives regarding this incident.
Homicide Detectives along with Crime Scene Technicians were called to the scene to speak with any possible witnesses as well as gather any evidence associated with this incident.
This incident is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
