On June 3, 2022, at 0303 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a duplex fire in the 1100 block of Franklin Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Under Control: 0341 hours
Fire crews arrived and found heavy fire and moderate smoke showing on the rear exterior of the home in the attic. Fire crews pulled handlines for fire attack and performed vertical ventilation. They also provided salvage covers to rooms not involved in the fire. A search of the structure was completed. Firefighters took 40 minutes to extinguish the fire and put the incident under control.
All occupants of of duplex home had self evacuated.
The structure suffered moderated smoke, fire, and water damage.
