FWFD: House Fire, 3000 block Peppertree Trail

On May 20, 2022, at 0318 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 3000 block of Peppertree Trail, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 0318 hours
On Scene: 0323 hours
Under Control: 0331 hours

When fire crews arrived they found a single-story residence with smoke coming from the front of the house. Upon entering the structure, a working fire was found in the kitchen area. The fire was quickly extinguished. Firefighters did a rapid check of structure with nothing additional found.

Occupants of the home were out front.

The cause of the fire was found to be a cooking fire.

The American Red Cross is helping the occupants.

Water Damage: Minor
Smoke Damage: Moderate
