The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at 12:13 am, May 11th, 2022 in the 1400 block of Oxford St. Preliminary information indicates the victim, an adult male was on foot near the intersection of Oxford St and Holton Ave when he sustained multiple gunshots. He was transported, by family, to the 400 block of Clermont Rd.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered the victim, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rendered aid on scene and transported to a local hospital, where his injuries were determined non life-threatening. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
