On May 11, 2022, at 2210 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to an apartment fire in the 3100 block of Vance Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 2213 hours
Under Control: 2223 hours
Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from a second-story apartment. Crews found a small cooking fire on the kitchen stove. The fire spread to a cabinet above the stove. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
The occupants self-evacuated safely. One occupant sustained a minor burn and was treated at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

Smoke Damage: Moderate
