On May 2, 2022, at 0146 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to the 9300 block of Silverfox Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 0146 hours
On Scene: 0151 hours
Under Control: 0212 hours
Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire coming from the front porch. The fire was extending into the attic area of the home. Crews quickly knocked down the exterior fire, then gained access to the attic space extinguishing the spreading fire in the attic. Extensive overhaul was required to find and extinguish all the interior fire in the insulation and rafters in the attic space.
Occupants had self-evacuated prior to the department’s arrival. Firefighters did locate a cat, removing it safely from the home.
Fire Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
