On April 10, 2022, at 2046 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the Travelers Inn at 4606 East Washington Boulevard in reference to an unknown problem.

Details/Summary:
On Sunday, 04/10/2022, at approximately 8:46 PM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the Travelers Inn at 4606 E. Washington Blvd. reference an unknown problem. A female caller reported she arrived to visit a friend and was concerned about his well-being. Officers arrived and made entry into the motel room. They located the male/adult victim inside the room unresponsive. Fire personnel pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators were summoned to assist in this death investigation.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office will release the deceased identity along with the cause and manner of death. This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
