The Fort Wayne Police Department has arrested two juvenile suspects in this investigation.
On April 6, 2022, at 1946 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a report of a person down in a parking lot at the New Covenant Church, 3420 block of East Paulding Road.

Details/Summary:
On April 6, 2022, at 7:46pm, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a report of a person down in a parking lot in the 4320 E. Paulding Rd. Officer arrived and located an adult male who appeared to be suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s) lying on the ground next to a vehicle. Officers began first aid but paramedics pronounced the male deceased.
At this time there are no suspects, however a witness reported seeing an unknown number of people running from the scene.
Detectives are canvassing the area, searching the surrounding buildings for any video surveillance footage. Crime scene personnel are processing the scene for evidence, as several shell casings were located on the scene.

The exact cause and manner of death as well as the identity of the decedent will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
This remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
