
On February 28, 2022, at 1546 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 4900 block of Twilight Lane, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 1546 hours
On Scene: 1549 hours
Under Control: 1555 hours
Residents called 9-1-1 to say that their house was filling with smoke and they didn’t know where it was coming from. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that 2 occupants were still in the house and smoke was coming from open windows on the 2nd floor. The occupants were quickly removed from the home and a small fire was located in the kitchen. The fire was quickly extinguished and the 2 residents were taken to a local hospital for observation and are reported to be in good condition.
It was determined that the fire started by smoking materials that were discarded in a trash receptacle.
No other injuries were reported.
