FWFD: House Fire, 3900 block Nottingham Drive

On February 9, 2022, at 1929 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 3900 block of Nottingham Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1929 hours
On Scene: 1932 hours
Under Control: 1940 hours

Firefighters arrived and found that residents had self-evacuated and light smoke was coming from the front of a 2-story house. Upon entering the structure fire crews found a working fire in the kitchen which was extinguished. Crews did a rapid check of structure with nothing additional found. The fire was contained to the kitchen area with smoke damage throughout the first floor and part of the second.

The fire was deemed to be an accidental cooking fire.

The American Red Cross is helping the occupants.

Water Damage: Minor
Smoke Damage: Moderate
