Details/Summary:
On Saturday, 12/23/2017, at approximately 3:55 AM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 1400 block of Greene Street reference a shooting. Witnesses reported they heard a gunshot and observed a male lying in the grass bleeding. Officers arrived and observed the adult/male victim was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office will release the deceased identity along with the cause and manner of death. This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office. There are no additional details at this time.
