The Fort Wayne Police Department sent an email update on November 29, 2021, at 0958 hours, stating:
Dakota Waudby was arrested in connection to the shooting investigation at 7900 Decatur Rd. that occurred on 11/28/21 (Sunday) at approximately 1:06 am.
Suspect Arrested: Dakota Waudby, 19 year old male

- Murder, Level 1 Felony

Details:
On Sunday, 11/28/2021, at approximately 1:06 AM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to 7915 Decatur Road in reference to a shooting that was reported by several witnesses.
Officers arrived and located an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and Crime Scene Technicians are processing the scene in an effort to obtain additional details.
A person of interest is being interviewed at this time.

This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
