On October 17, 2021, at 2058 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department was dispatched to a reported shooting in the 3100 block of Wells Street.

Details/Summary:
On October 17th, 2021 at approximately 8:58 PM dispatched received a call that a male had been shot at 3126 Wells Street. Police arrived on scene and found one adult female and two adult males with gunshot wounds.
After preliminary investigations it is believed the following occurred. The female and male victims arrived together to visit a friend at one of the lots. Shortly after they arrived the male suspect arrived at the same lot with a handgun. The male suspect shot the male and female victims. A struggle ensued over the gun and the male suspect was shot.
When police arrived on scene they discovered the victims and the suspect. The female had a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The male victim was declared deceased at the scene. The male suspect was taken to a local hospital to treat a life-threatening gunshot wound. At the hospital the male succumbed to his wounds and died at the hospital.
It is unknown the relationship the victims had with the suspect or a motive at this time. It is also unknown if there were any other individuals involved with this incident. Investigators are currently interviewing witnesses and neighbors for further information.
