COVID-19 update and COVID-19 vaccine updates from the Indiana State Department of Health:
September 16, 2021: ISDH updates COVID-19 case counts
Indianapolis, Indiana (September 16, 2021) — The Indiana Department of Health announced today that 4,157 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 922,320 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
To date, 14,581 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, which includes 31 newly reported deaths that occurred between Sept. 3 and Sept. 15. Another 465 probable deaths have been reported to date based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.
A total of 4,081,963 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 4,070,643 on Wednesday. A total of 13,012,963 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26, 2020.

COVID-19 vaccinations update:
As of today, a total of 6,386,535 doses have been administered in Indiana. This includes 3,198,367 first doses and 3,188,168 individuals who are fully vaccinated. The fully vaccinated number represents individuals who have received a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines and those who received the single Janssen Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
The Indiana Department of Health is deploying mobile clinics to Allen County this week to provide testing and vaccinations. Hoosiers in the ZIP codes in which the clinics are located will receive a text message or email informing them of the locations and services offered.
Hoosiers age 12 and older are eligible to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine only and can do so at one of more than 700 clinics around the state. Appointments are preferred but are not required. To find a location or to schedule a vaccine, visit https://www.coronavirus.in.gov/vaccine/ or call 2-1-1 if you do not have access to a computer or require assistance. Patients with an appointment at a state-hosted public vaccination site can get a free UBER ride. Call 2-1-1 or (866) 211-9966 to receive a voucher to cover the cost of an Uber ride to and from your vaccination appointments.
Hoosiers interested in receiving a vaccine can obtain them without an appointment at participating clinics. To find vaccination sites, visit https://www.coronavirus.in.gov/vaccine/ or call 2-1-1 if you do not have access to a computer or require assistance.
