Details/Summary:
On Wednesday August 18, 2021 at approximately 8:45 PM the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 4000 block of Hoagland Avenue in reference to a shooting investigation. As officers and paramedics arrived on the scene, they observed a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics provided medical attention to the victim before transporting him to a local hospital where he was listed with non-life threatening injuries.
A short time later a male arrived at another local hospital by private conveyance suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency physicians listed the male with life threatening injuries.
At this time, officers are canvassing the area attempting to locate any possible witnesses. Anyone who may have information or have witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department at 427-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
