The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported house fire on July 19, 2021, at 4:14 am in the 700 block of West Oakdale Drive.
The first arriving firefighters reported a working fire on the first floor. Crews worked to contain the fire in approximately 15 minutes. The occupants of the home were inside at the time of the fire but were able to self-evacuate.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department was assisted by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, City of Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code Enforcement, NIPSCO, and Indiana Michigan Power.
