The Fort Wayne Police Department is warning of a new scam hitting the area targeting the elderly.
Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 9, 2021) – There have been a few incidents this past weekend where individuals claiming to be the “Water Department” have targeted the elderly to attempt to make entry into their residences and go through their belongings looking for objects of value. Actual Water Department employees will have a marked shirt, picture work ID, and be driving a marked vehicle.
